Understanding Voltaire Support Contract Expiration and Support/Upgrade Entitlement
Keep your Support serial number and your contract number.
If you have purchased a Voltaire support contract, your support serial number and contract number is evidence of your entitlement to use Voltaire support TAC assistance and to receive any Product updates to which you are entitled. You will need your Support serial number or contract number should you ever wish to renew your support contract.
Support entitlement
When One or Three year(s) of support is included in your purchase. This provides:
- Entitlement to any upgrades (including major versions) of all Voltaire products you have purchased that Voltaire might release during your active support contract duration.
- Access to standard Voltaire technical support services (use the new contract registration form to register as a customer prior to obtaining support);
Once your included period of support has expired:
- You can choose whether to renew support (which includes entitlement to upgrade to new versions of your product) for another year.
- Your current Voltaire Product installation will remain fully-functional whether or not you renew.
- You will need to renew support if you wish to access technical support, or if you wish to be able to use new releases Voltaire made available after your support expiration date.
About Support Contract / Serial Number, support expiration dates and support renewals
The date when support expires is encoded within each Support serial number. Each serial number is followed by a contract number and activation start date and contract expiration date.
Finding out the support expiration date for your serial number
The way to find out the entitlement and support expiration date for serial numbers is to enter them in the Support Renewal or Upgrade form on the Voltaire support website.
