Voltaire and LSI to Cross-Certify InfiniBand Storage Products

BILLERICA, Mass. and HERZELIYA, Israel – May 28, 2008 – Voltaire Ltd. (NASDAQ: VOLT), a leading provider of grid backbone solutions for data centers, today announced that it is working with LSI Corporation to cross-certify the company’s InfiniBand-based storage systems with Voltaire switches and software.

“LSI is focused on delivering leading storage technologies to address the needs of high-performance data centers,” said Julie Ryan, director of alliances, Engenio Storage Group, LSI. “We are pleased to work with Voltaire, a leader in the InfiniBand market, to bring solutions to market that will improve the scalability and performance of enterprise storage systems.”

As part of the certification process, several companies representing industries including financial services, media and entertainment and telecommunications are evaluating the interoperability and performance increase available through the combination of LSI and Voltaire offerings.

“Using native InfiniBand storage in the data center can bring tremendous price/performance improvements to solutions such as clustered databases and digital media applications,” said Asaf Somekh, vice president of strategic alliances, Voltaire. “We look forward to working with LSI to introduce these solutions to our joint customers.”

“Native InfiniBand storage is gaining momentum in the data center. The factors driving this growth are demand for high capacity storage systems with high bandwidths and ever-evolving compute-intensive business needs,” said Arun Taneja, analyst, The Taneja Group. “InfiniBand coupled with modular, scalable storage can build a truly adaptable storage platform that can match even unforeseen future demands.
