TIBCO and Voltaire Join Forces to Accelerate Performance of Automated Trading Environments

Combined Solution Lowers Latency and Significantly Increases Message Capacity of TIBCO Rendezvous® Messaging Software

(NASDAQ: VOLT), a leading provider of grid backbone solutions for the data center, today announced that it is working with TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX) to deliver a high throughput, low latency messaging solution for advanced electronic trading environments.

Tested by TIBCO, the optimized configuration consists of TIBCO Rendezvous 8.0 software over Voltaire’s Grid Director™ InfiniBand-based switches and software. Voltaire switches provide 10 or 20 Gigabits/second InfiniBand bandwidth and data acceleration software that takes advantage of Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) technology to reduce latency and jitter while increasing message throughput for automated trading environments.
